Celebrating World Health Day

April 7th, 2021 is World Health Day! We’re so excited to be celebrating this day in Phoenix, AZ. Our Acero at Algodon Center apartment community is neighbors with Banner Estrella Medical Center, we’re surrounded by the healthcare community and health workers. World Health Day was created by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO (World Health Organization) had their first World Health Assembly in 1948! This year the WHO’s campaign for World Health day is ‘Building a fairer, healthier world’, that’s definitely a message we can get behind. This occasion is the perfect time to thank the people here in our Phoenix community, and across the globe, who are working tirelessly to keep us healthy. Are you wondering how you can help others this World Health Day? Here are some of our suggestions: Tell a friend about World Health Day aka ‘Raise Awareness’. Check in on the health and wellbeing of your family and friends. Thank a Nurse, Doctor, or any health care professional that you know. Our Acero at Algodon Center team catered lunch for the ER department at Banner Health, to say thank you to these healthcare heroes. Now it’s time to take a moment for yourself!
