The Best Hikes in West Phoenix

 

Looking for an adventure or something fun to do this weekend? Take a hike! No, really take a hike! West Phoenix is near so many great trails and hikes and your home at Acero at Algodon Center is in the center of it all. According to the City of Phoenix website, “Phoenix is home to more than 41,000 acres of desert parks and mountain preserves, and 200-plus miles of trails. Millions of people enjoy city trails every year.”. The opportunities are endless! 

 

Grand Canal Trail | Glendale, AZ

This hike is great for hikers of various skill levels. It’s designed to encourage running, walking, as well as road biking! You can even bring your dog along, just be sure to have them on a leash. Recent visitors have said, “Birds everywhere! The sights and sounds were lovely!” (AllTrails). 

 

Grand Canal Trail | Phoenix, AZ

When you go to search for the Glendale hike be sure you’re heading to the correct location. Phoenix, AZ also has a Grand Canal Trail, however this trail is for hikers who are up for a bit more of a challenge. This trail has a higher elevation and the length of the trail is also longer in distance.

 

Dreamy Draw Recreation Area to Piestewa Peak | Phoenix, AZ

Level up your hiking and visit Dreamy Draw Recreation Area to Piestewa Peak! This hike is the most difficult of the ones we have mentioned so far. Phoenix Parks and Recreation has a section of their website dedicated to this trail, learn more about the trail here
